Meaningful Nature Movement: Akgöl Field Visit

As the Sinop Youth, Education and Entrepreneurship Association, we have added another initiative to our efforts to increase environmental literacy and strengthen nature conservation awareness among our youth. Within the scope of the UNIDES program, supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and through our active and interactive collaboration with university students, we successfully completed the Akgöl visit, a crucial field step in the "From Coast to Summit Climate and Nature Awareness Movement" project.

During the event, which saw strong participation from our project team and young people, comprehensive nature observations were conducted around Akgöl. This field study, which examined critical issues such as the vital importance of wetland ecosystems, biodiversity, and climate change on-site, reinforced the importance of viewing nature not merely as "a landscape to be observed," but as a "common value" that we must all protect and preserve together.

As a non-governmental organization, in line with our fundamental vision, we are very proud to be directly involved in such projects that instill in our youth an awareness of protecting local environmental values. On behalf of our association, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for enabling the successful implementation of this process, to the Ayancık Vocational School administration and project team for their valuable cooperation, and to all the environmentally conscious young people who contributed their energy to the event.

We will continue our field applications and education-focused awareness activities aimed at strengthening the connection between our youth and nature without slowing down in the coming period.
